Noelia Gouty Bonato, mezzo-soprano
Born in Argentina in 1980, Noelia grew up in Southern France where she begins her music education with the piano. Interested in shows and stage performances, she takes voice lessons with Claudine Pagès.
Since 1996, when she moves in Montreal, she shows curiosity for all musical styles. As a chorus-singer and walk-on, she performs in productions such as “Grease”, “The Best of Gilbert & Sullivan” by the Montreal-West Operatic Society, “Amahl and the Night Visitors” by Menotti, “Die Fledermauss” by J.Strauss.
As a soloist, she is The Mother and The Sandman in “Haensel and Gretel” by Humperdink, Gontran de Bois-Massif in “L’Éducation Manquée” by Chabrier, Cherubino in “Le Nozze di Figaro” by Mozart, and Pepa in “Goyescas” by Granados.
She also sang as a soloist in many churches, works for orchestra, choir and soloists, as well as at the Montreal International Jazzfest and at the Théatre Maisonneuve de la Place-des-Arts: “Paukenmesse” by Haydn, “Messe de Minuit” by Charpentier, “Misa Criolla” and “Navidad Nuestra” by Ramirez.
She studied music and voice at Vanier College with Thérèse Sévadjian, then Cécile Vallée-Jalbert, and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the Conservatoire de Musique du Québec à Montréal where she studied with Gabrielle Lavigne.
Since the summer 2004, she lives in the Niagara region. She teaches voice, piano, music theory and French in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Noelia is fluent in five languages: English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.

Née en Argentine en 1980, Noelia grandit dans le sud de la France où elle commence ses études musicales en piano. Attirée par les spectacles, elle prend des cours de chant auprès de Claudine Pagès, artiste lyrique.

Elle a aussi chanté comme soliste dans de nombreuses églises, des oeuvres pour orchestre, choeurs et soliste, ainsi qu’au Festival de Jazz et au Théatre Maisonneuve de la Place-des-Arts: “Paukenmesse” de Haydn, “Messe de Minuit” de Charpentier, “Misa Criolla” et “Navidad Nuestra” de Ramirez.
Elle a étudié la le chant classique au Cégep Vanier College auprès de Thérèse Sévadjian, puis avec Cécile Vallée-Jalbert, ainsi qu’auprès de Gabrielle Lavigne au Conservatoire de Musique du Québec à Montréal d’où elle détient un Baccalauréat en Interprétation (équivalent de la Licence en France).
Depuis l’été 2004, elle habite dans la région Niagara. Elle enseigne le chant, le piano et le français à St. Catharines, Ontario.
Noelia parle cinq langues courament: francais, anglais, espagnol, allemand et italien.
